Trailers
(This is the one time Sale page for trailers. If you came here looking to buy a trailer, I am no longer offering to sell trailers at this time but you can build one using my tools if you'd like.)

If you are wanting to build a trailer at my workshop, please look over the following for a basic idea of what you can do with your trailer in terms of adding "accessories."
I got the plans for these trailers from Aaron Wieler. You can get the plans for free as well from his site. Please have a look at his site.
He's got a great idea going on there.

YOU"LL START BY DECIDING HOW YOU WANT YOUR FRAME.
Basic frame description
Basic trailer frame
1/2 inch conduit 320 pound rating+, no wheels, one hitch
Good for people who need a trailer to carry all sorts of loads from light to occasionally heavy.
Heavy duty Option 1
3/4 inch conduit, 300 pound rating? one hitch
Ideal for people who carry very heavy loads most of the time.
Heavy duty Option 2 ***
1/2 inch conduit frame, 3/4 inch tongue,  one hitch
Good option for people who carry sustained loads over 250 lbs all the time.
DT
Its an idea for a detachable tongue. I have not tried this idea out though.
Option can be applied to either the Basic or Heavy Duty Option 1, but this one lacks
a cross brace. So instead, it uses 3/4 inch conduit. You shouldn't have any problems though.

THEN, YOU'LL SELECT EXTRA'S TO PUT ON YOUR TRAILER.
Option:
Wheel guards
Adds  extra piece of conduit  on either side. Great if you carry large items. This will allow you to lean items on the guard and keep them off the wheels
Handle
Add to front or back of cart. Allows cart to be used off the bike with ease. Recommend that you add handle to front of cart.
Extra hitch
Good option if you have several bikes with non quick release axles. Add a hitch to each bike.
If you buy more than one, first is $10, each additional is $8
Ready service hitch system:
Adds a pin secured to the trailer tongue. Keeps the cotter pin from being lost. Standard on all trailers.
Custom option?
Have a custom idea? Let me know, and I'll see how easy it is to add that to the trailer.

Hitch Details

Detail of  standard hitch with safey pin inserted into
tongue bolt. Newer hitches have an addtional
wire to prevent rotation around the axle.
Detail of hitch with pin removed
from trailer. Pin is secured to trailer tongue,
and the bolt is welded down, so neither should be
lost.
Detail of the Anti-Rotation hitch.
All new hitches look like this.
In Use.
Transporting a stack of  trailers
Bottom trailer is a Heavy Duty Option 1, with wheel guards.
It was a special request from a customer, who took delivery shortly
after this photo was done.
Basic trailer, with handle
The customer wanted a handle, and I built
one trailer with the handle in the back, and one in front.
He picked the one in front.

-Dimensions are about 43x32x15. Weight for a basic trailer with a set of 24 inch wheels is about 22 pounds.
