LINKS
Many if not all of these links were added a long time ago. It is a sad fact of the internet that many sites are shut down, the hosting is not renewed, and good sites are otherwise unavailable. I hardly update this site for example, but I do maintain the hosting. I've recently gone back in and deleted the broken or outdated links. There used to be 33. October 2010

FORT COLLINS BICYCLE SCENE
FORT COLLINS BIKE NEWS
Page of news on Fort Colin bike happenings and advocacy.
400 Smith Street
Run by Rafael, who is a great guy. You can go to this place
to get low cost parts, hang out, volunteer, or learn how to fix
a bike. I am not sure if this guy is still in business or not, but his blog posts are still up.

CRITICAL MASS SITES
Critical Mass Info Site
One of several  "central hubs' of CM news and links to other CM websites.

FREAK BIKE CLUBS
Some of these sites got me into this crazy hobby, so I might as well put them here.
Rat-Patrol
Nice little site and club. I've met them once. Great guys who look really scary, but
deep down, they are nice community oriented people. Check out some of their bikes.
Chicago Freak Bikes
Page on generally freaky bikes in Chicago, but also serves to tell about the current
happenings of the Rat-Patrol.
Chunk 666
One of the oldest freak bike clubs out there. Great site, though it hasn't been updated recently.
Club is still very much alive though, and you can read their blog.
This site is still good but not in the original form. Now it is a bit different but there is still information there.
Home Built Recumbents
Here are some links to various homebuilt recumbent sites.
WISIL
Great site with lots of info. Much is geared towards serious racers or speed freaks, but
there is lots of home built site links on this site. Check it out.
20 inch bent
Home built recumbent made from a 20" BMX bike and some other parts.
20 inch bent 2
Another 20" BMX bike conversion
Home Built Recumbent Trike
Takes a while to load, and the photos aren't terribly detailed, but it is a cool DIY concept.
Recumbents for Kids
Lots of homebuilt recumbents on this page for kids.
Minnesota HPV
Lots of great links on this site, including the one for the little ones above.

HOME BUILT BIKES
ATOMIC ZOMBIE
Great guy, has a book out on bicycles that I got. Also into robotics and spy stuff. He's probably a
Canadian spy. I think he rides the world's tallest bike, but maybe he got beat.
Some Dude's page o' bikes.
Lots of bikes here to see.
The page listed above is missing, but the root site is still there.
WORKING BIKES
Some general info on workhorse bikes and trailers. I have a fondness for bikes that can carry alot of cargo.
Organic Engines Homebuilt
This bike is based on a commercially available unit. Detailed construction photos.
Trailers
This is the trailer I make. I must give due credit. The guy has complete instructions and plans.
Its a truly superb cart that can be built for pretty low cost in less than a day. I do sell these carts locally though.
The other trailer site.
Apparently they make these trailers in Africa as part of a program over there. You can read the text portion of the plans
but you'll have to pay to see the photos. I have not made this trailer, as it looks heaveier and more complex than the above
trailer site. However, they also might be more rugged if hit by cars, trucks, errant water buffalo, etc.
Christiana Bikes
If my cargo trike looks suspiciously similar to the ones on this site, theres probably a really good reason.
Not exactly tons of info on building your own bike out there, but nice pictures, and you can buy one too.
Bilenky Bikes
They have some sort of front loading cargo bicycle. Nifty, though I'm not sure how readily buildable this model is.

VARIOUS SITES

Some personal, some random. Usually somewhat associated with bikes.
Drumbent
This is the rest of the site from the guy who brought you the Organic Engines homebuilt.
Lots more to see, and lots of links.
Bike Rod 'n Kustom
Site on Kustom Bikes of all sorts. Mostly pretty nice bikes actually.
Webzine: Updated like 4 times a year.
Martin Krieg's page.
This guy came back from clinical death to ride across America. He's going a third time
on a high wheeler.
Steve's recumbents
Yeah, so he seems to like to make wooden bikes.
IHPV Site
Really good stuff on this site, but its really hard to find it. Usually I blunder it into it after finding some
link on Google.
